What experience have UnlockCodes.ie in mobile phone services and unlocking? GSM Solutions who operate UnlockCodes.ie are now the longest running company in Ireland and possibly Europe to offer Mobile Phone Unlocking since we launched the service back in the early 90's. We have the ability to unlock the vast majority of handsets in our head office while you wait. Some of our current clients include Vodafone, O2, Meteor, 3 and the Carphone Warehouse retail outlets to name but a few. We also develop unlocking & service software for the industry.
Why are the delivery times different for the various unlock codes? Please note that delivery times for codes can vary, the times listed are approx. The unlock codes we supply are sourced directly from manufacturers. Due to the vast number of sources the delivery times vary. The delivery times listed on UnlockCodes.ie are based on our suppliers recommended delivery times and do varey from day to day. We ensure the fastest delivery time possible, however, at times, delays may occur due to circumstances out of our control. In most cases the unlock codes are actually delivered quicker then the actual times listed. Delivery times are based on business days, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays are not included. We are unable to speed code delivery times up. If codes are taking longer than the times listed this is generally due to a backlog on the sever, this is out of our control. If codes are taking longer than listed please be patient we are working hard to process codes as soon as possible.
What happens if the unlock code i get does not work? The codes we supply are manufacturer direct and are 100% correct 100% of the time. If the code does not work there can be a number of factors causing this. For example, most Nokia phones will only allow you to enter 3 wrong codes, after 3 wrong attempts the phone is blocked and even the correct code will not work. In cases were the code does not work you would need to bring or send the phone to our store for verification. In nearly all cases we can unlock the phone using specialist equipment in our store if the code does not work. Please see below for details.
I think my phone is stolen, reported lost or barred/blocked/blacklisted, what can i do? We have direct access to database for stolen phones, if we believe a phone maybe reported lost/stolen and could be blocked we can check this, a detailed report can be provided for 5euro. View a sample report here.
If a phone has been reported lost or stolen then it becomes 'blocked/barred' there is nothing can be to unblock the phone.
A phone may be blacklisted (or barred) for many different reasons, but the most common reason is that it has been reported either lost or stolen.
If you are unfortunate enough to either lose or even worse have your phone stolen you should report it to your service provider (your network) immediately! Your service provider can then blacklist the handset so that it can no longer be used to make or receive any calls. The networks do this by adding your phones serial number onto a national blacklist database (Central Equipment Identity Register). Effectively the handset becomes absolutely useless.
AT&T iPhone Unlocking important information: If a customer doesn't pay their bill or they find out the iPhone is / was stolen or still under contract, Then AT&T have the right to RE-LOCK the iPhone.
This is not in our hands and therefore we cannot be held liable for it. Therefore if you have your iPhone unlocked, if the phone is relocked at ANY time because of the above reasons then no refunds are issued in any case.
How does blacklisting Work? Every mobile phone has a unique serial number. This serial number is called the IMEI number (International Mobile Equipment Identity). It can normally be found underneath the phones battery and it is 15 digits long.
Now each time you switch your phone on or attempt to make a call the network systems check the IMEI number of the handset you are using. At this point the IMEI number of your handset is cross referenced with the Central Equipment Identity Register. If the IMEI number of your handset is on the CEIR then the network will either:
1) Refuse to send a signal to your phone (No signal strength at all)
2) Or will supply a signal but will not allow any outgoing or incoming calls. Some phones/networks may allow a couple of calls before it realises the phone is connected to the network, it then immediately blocks it from making calls.
Do you offer discount pricing on bulk orders? / Can I become a reseller? You can create a wholesale account for free by simply purchasing a reseller account, simply login and choose your reseller package and proceed to payment. The more credits you buy the cheaper the credits will become.
